Yet Again

School has started yet again. There is no rest for the wicked. I'm looking forward to the semester. I think it'll be fun. But, the semester's lineup is also quite imposing. I have a lot of classes to take -- and they aren't goof off stuff: Algorithms and Complexity, Physical Geology and lab, Databases and lab, Ethics, Networking, and Advanced Mandarin. I guess I'll learn how to pray more sincerely.

I like Scumm

And what is scumm? And why do you like it? Whether it makes more sense or not, SCUMM stands for Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion, and it has changed my life.

You know, back in the day there used to be fun games that one could find to play on the computer. Today's games [gripe, gripe, gripe] are all in the all-too-serious strain, full of gore and inappropriateness. My experience with the "good old days" was founded mostly on one game-producing company: LucasArts. But, that was the old LucasArts. Now, they don't put out anything like what they used to. Who wouldn't long for the days of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, or Full Throttle?

Oh man, well now you can. It's called ScummVM. It's actually been around for a while, but I've only recently tried it out. Whilst thou? Then just plug in some old abandonware, and you've got a great time! Lots of LucasArts games at dynaLink.

Cartoon, Cartoon

And another gallery set up at jtsnake.com, here! It's another little collection of some of my cartoon art. It's not recent work, just stuff I found recently amongst the dust of the hard drive.

If ya'll have some good stuff, just get your gallery account set up real quick and post it up there.

Wheeeeee!

LotR Sketch Gallery

Well, here a few gems that have been inspired by (and inspired) by the latest round of group projects that I've had for my Software Engineering class. Perhaps this is because our latest project, the software architecture spec especially lends itself to writing on the whiteboard. So, these are whiteboard sketches, but have been "photoshop'ed" to help it stand out and be a nice soothing blue.

Children's Song Jammin'

My cousins and are featured jamming to "Give Said the Little Stream." See if you can pick out the melody. This was for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. They had a little grandkids talent show, and we put this together earlier in the day. It's just a short clip. Wish it was longer. :) Well, I guess that just means we'll have to get together again.
